Swimming Opportunity
We would like to let you know of a special opportunity to take your child for a free hour of swimming at GUST Swim School on Friday 3rd May (inset day). GUST are running a training course and would like help for potential swimming instructors. If your child is 4 years or older and a non-swimmer or beginner then please feel free to contact GUST on enquries@swimteaching.co.uk to book a space! Some of the children have been to GUST previously and have thoroughly enjoyed it!

This event is taking place in school tomorrow morning.

Sports Day
We are holding our sports day, weather permitting, on Friday 17th May. Dormice and Reception will hold their event on the field at 9.30am. For years 1 – 4 the start time will be 1.30pm.
If the weather defeats us we will reschedule to Friday 24th May.
Standon Bowers
Our year 4 children are very excited about their residential trip to Standon Bowers, leaving on Monday morning and returning to school on Wednesday afternoon.
First Aid
West Midlands Ambulance Service have been in school over the last couple of days, working with children in years 2 ,3 and 4 on first knowledge and skills.
Author Visit
Yesterday we had a visit from Ruth Pearson, a local author, who talked to the children about her books and the process and writing and illustrating a book. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience of getting an insight into the work of an author.
Sickness
A polite reminder that if your child is sick or has a tummy bug they cannot return to school for 48hrs.
Medicines
Our policy on administering medicines is that we only administer in school if the medication is prescribed for 4 doses a day. Medicines prescribed for fewer doses must be administered at home.
Holiday Club
Sports Coaching Group will once again be providing holiday club at May half term. The club will run from Tuesday 28th May to Friday 31st May.
School Closed to Children- Friday 3rd May
Next Friday is a Staff Development Day and the school is closed to children. School will open again on Tuesday 7th May at 8.45am.
