A huge thank you to all who attended and/or donated to the Kibera Fundraising evening we held in school last Friday.
The teachers and Vicar Stewart who went out to visit the deprived schools in Kenya all showed photographs and talked about their experiences from their visit in January this year. After seeing the conditions the children live in and the complete lack of basic teaching equipment in these schools, they decided to hold an event to raise some much needed money.
We are very pleased to say that we raised over £1500 on the night, which was great news for Victor, the Ambassador for the Kibera schools, who we told the news to via video link on the night.
This money will be spent on new desks and water butts to store fresh water for the children.
