On Tuesday 13th October 2015 the whole school met up at St John the Baptist Church to celebrate our Harvest Festival. The children had brought non perishable food into school throughout the previous week, and some of this was displayed in the church during the service. Each class sang a harvest song or said a harvest rhyme and said thank you for all the food we have to eat each and every day. The church was bursting with children and parents, all of whom enjoyed hearing the singing, listening to bible readings and prayers written by the children and joining in with a congregational hymn.

The food collected and brought into school by the children will be donated to “The House of Bread” which is based in Stafford. This organisation provides warm meals for the homeless and families who are without food. At the end Mrs Clarey, head teacher at the school, thanked the parents and children for their generosity in giving to such a worthy cause.
